標題: 來出個問題吧
今天在公車上面看到這個
These seats are reserved for senior or persons with disability
在下想出的問題是~為什麼在這裡可以使用persons而不是people

PS. 在下是知道答案的~所以對的人 +5 聲望
participants +3 聲望

我不確定對不對，找英英字典的結果

person 也有 body 的意思
所以在這是指「肢體殘障」
因此不是用 people.

When we say persons we are thinking of ones, individuals with identities; whereas when we say people we should have in mind a very large group, an indefinite and anonymous mass

Probably the disabled are special identities, so persons are used.

Also, as other sources suggest, persons are used in formal and legal context. Since it is a sign for everyone to notice, formal wording is opted.

可能是因為peopla是代表著大眾
而殘障人士跟大眾並不相同所以用專注於形容一個人的person

後面加s 成為 persons是因為要大家注意每一個殘障的個體!
每一位單一的殘障人士 (不是說有人賠就不是單一的個體啦...嗯...對啦...應該懂我的意思@@)

會不會是因為 people 的解釋太多
包含 family , national , race 這類的
為了避免被帶入這種關係，所以才改用 person ?

不用people 用 person 會不會是因為
person --> personal (and it means people with...)
是專注於殘障人士而並非殘缺人士!

以他們傷殘的程度來定義是否殘障
像少一跟小拇指, 跟缺一條腿比較起來
後者比較說的上是殘障
