可是英文還是一樣很爛(汗)作者: 星型飛行物 時間: 08-8-14 09:41 標題: Use English to pursuit your passion, and it will free your mind! Greetings, my friend. Here is my advice for you:
You can always start leaning about things you like in English and memorize related terms.
You will be amazed about how much more you can learn about things you like from English sources!
if you really want to learn something, reading Chinese articles is just not enough!
When I did my research paper on Chinese Art, I consulted Chinese, English and American sources (perhaps even a few French and German sources along the way, translated in English of course.).
And I am happy to tell you, my friend; almost anything in any language is available in English.
English is the language that will truly expand the scope of your intellectual world!
So start learning! I suggest you begin with things you love, and don't even care about if it is useful or not! I have learned a great deal about automotive mechanics and technology from just reading the English articles from American and British automotive magazines, and I was trained as an art historian!
I guess you lost your interest because the teacher was not teaching something that grabs your interest, they never teach anything fun anyways... so get out there and learn about things you want to learn in English for a change. If you cannot find the books you want, there is always Wikipedia. Use the dictionary if you have to.

By the way, getting interests is also important.
You can force yourself by looking English Subtitles when you watch an DVD movie.
Or you can try to play games in English.
Anyway, many ways there are. What you need is to find the way.
P.S. Memorizing new words is necessary, but not enough. Another further step can
enhance your English Ability.

to otenkoz: " Anyway, many ways there are" is grammatically incorrect
"many ways are there"
to 星型飛行物 you are missing an "r" on your first learning
