This is a story about me and my friend Steve.

My good friend Steve and how he fell in love.

One day we were sitting in a Chinese restaurant, eating the stuff that looks like worms.

Steve was reading his place mat

It told him that I was a bear and that he was a dragon.

"You're a dragon steve"

"woah, really?"

"yeah, marry a monkey or a rat and make life, but avoid the dog...”

And we were just like...

"okay"

So anyway, we go to the pet store, and we tell them...

"Hey! Set out all your monkeys"

"Fresh out of monkeys, come back tomorrow."

"What about rats?"

"Nope, no rats.  Um... we got a fish that think it's a rat"

"Woah~ no! im not marrying a fish."

Just then, the phone rang.

"Uh, hello?"

"Hi Steve, I'll be your girlfriend."

"Are you a monkey or a rat?"

"No! I'm a dog!!!"

"Aaaaaaaaaa~!!! Evil!!!"

"Hi Steve"

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa"

"Hey doggirl, look!"

"Haha, works everytime."

"Stupid dog."

And then, there she was, eating out of a trashcan, it was really gross.

"Ew, rat! Bad, no! What about the monkey?"

Oh yeah, the Monkey.  And there she was, the most beautiful monkey in the world.

We both knew right away...

"She is the monkey of my dreams..."

But then....

"Aaaaaaaaaaa"

"Hi Mom!"

"Sup!"

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa"

We thought we were gonners, until we remembered that Steve was a dragon.

And dragons can fly!

So we safely sailed down back down to the Earth.

As it turned out! That special monkey's name was Cindy.

And when Cindy saw Steve, it was love at first sight.

The doggirl found her own guy, a horse.

As everyone knows that dogs and horses are ment for each other, Steve and Cindy got married in time and had lots of little kids.

I didn't get why they were all bunnies, but I figured it was better than fire breathing monkies.

I mean, if you're happy, you're happy.  Especially if you got a cool fire breathing dragon for a friend.

我的好朋友Steve還有他是如何墜入愛河的。
One day we were sitting in a Chinese restaurant, eating the stuff that looks like worms.
有一天，我們倆就坐在一間中式料理餐廳內，吃著看起來像是蟲子的玩意兒。
Steve was reading his place mat
當Steve在看著他桌子上的墊布時，
It told him that I was a bear and that he was a dragon.
它告訴他我是一隻熊而他是一隻龍。
"You're a dragon steve"
「你是一隻龍啊，Steve。」
"woah, really?"
「哇，是真的嗎?」
"yeah, marry a monkey or a rat and make life, but avoid the dog...”
「是的，去娶一隻猴子或是一隻老鼠展開生活吧，但是不要狗......」
And we were just like...
而我們就好像毫無顧慮地想說......
"okay"
「好吧。」
So anyway, we go to the pet store, and we tell them...
所以，反正我們去了一間寵物店，並告訴寵物店的人說......
"Hey! Set out all your monkeys"
「嘿!把你們的猴子都拿出來看看。」
"Fresh out of monkeys, come back tomorrow."
「(這句不知怎翻，字典查無相關資訊)，明日在回來吧。」
"What about rats?"
「那老鼠呢?」
"Nope, no rats.  Um... we got a fish that think it's a rat"
「不，沒有老鼠。嗯......我們有隻自認牠是老鼠的魚。」
"Woah~ no! im not marrying a fish."
「哇~不!我不要娶一隻魚。」
Just then, the phone rang.
就在那時，電話響了。
"Uh, hello?"
「哦，喂?」
"Hi Steve, I'll be your girlfriend."
「嗨，Steve，我要當你的女朋友。」
"Are you a monkey or a rat?"
「妳是隻猴子還是老鼠?」
"No! I'm a dog!!!"
「不!我是隻狗!!!」
"Aaaaaaaaaa~!!! Evil!!!"
「啊啊啊啊啊啊啊......!!!真是倒楣啊!!!」
"Hi Steve"
「嗨，Steve。」
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa"
「啊啊啊啊啊啊啊啊啊。(無限loop(毆))」
"Hey doggirl, look!"
「嘿，"狗"女孩，看!」
"Haha, works everytime."
「哈哈，她無時無刻都在工作吧。」
"Stupid dog."
「真是笨狗。」
And then, there she was, eating out of a trashcan, it was really gross.
就在之後，她就在那邊，吃著從垃圾桶來的東西，那還真是噁心啊。
"Ew, rat! Bad, no! What about the monkey?"
「唷，是老鼠!不好，不要!那猴子怎樣?」
Oh yeah, the Monkey.  And there she was, the most beautiful monkey in the world.
喔，好啊，就猴子。而且她就在那邊，世界上最美麗的猴子。
We both knew right away...
我們兩個馬上就明白......

我們就認為我們已經沒救了，直到我們想起Steve是隻龍。
And dragons can fly!
而且龍可以飛啊!
So we safely sailed down back down to the Earth.
所以我們就安全地往下飛然後飛回地面上。
As it turned out! That special monkey's name was Cindy.
之後結果發生了!那隻特別的猴子叫做Cindy。
And when Cindy saw Steve, it was love at first sight.
當Cindy看見Steve時，她馬上一見鍾情。

那個"狗"女孩也找到了她自己的伴侶，一隻馬。
As everyone knows that dogs and horses are met(應該打錯沒有打錯是ment 意思是他們是天生一對) for each other, Steve and Cindy got married in time and had lots of little kids.
正如每個人知道的狗跟馬彼此相見一樣，Steve跟Cindy也很快地結婚了並且生了很多小孩。
I didn't get why they were all bunnies, but I figured it was better than fire breathing monkies.
我不知道為什麼生出來的都是小兔子，但是我知道會比生出來是鼻子會噴火的猴子來得好多了。
I mean, if you're happy, you're happy.  Especially if you got a cool fire breathing dragon for a friend.
我指的是如果你感到快樂，你就會快樂。(啥鬼?)特別是如果你有一個很酷，鼻子會噴火的龍當朋友時。

翻的不是甚好，一年沒認真碰英文了，有錯誤敢請指教。
其中WOAH跟EW因為查不到，所以就靠自己的意思翻譯了。
還有人名的部分想說保持原汁原味就不做音譯了。

感想：
這篇文章我看一整個感到奇怪啊，尤其是為什麼角色好像都是動物(囧)。
龍與猴子會生出小兔子這更讓我囧超大的，用生物知識來說完全不可能。
我覺得這篇故事想告訴我們的是戀愛是可以跨越種族的鴻溝吧(毆)。

哈哈~因為我想要創新一下學習方式~所以找了一些比較特別的故事來吸引大家

有一天,我們座在一間中式餐廳,然後吃著像是蟲子的東西
Steve was reading his place mat
當時Seve正在看著餐桌上的墊布
It told him that I was a bear and that he was a dragon.
墊布告訴他,我是一隻熊,然後他是一隻龍
"You're a dragon steve"
Steve,你是一隻龍
"woah, really?"
哇!!真的嗎?
"yeah, marry a monkey or a rat and make life, but avoid the dog...”
沒錯,跟一隻猴子或是一之老鼠結婚然後展開生活,但是遠離狗..(剩下的自己編輯)
And we were just like...
然後我們就...
"okay"
好的
So anyway, we go to the pet store, and we tell them...
所以不管怎麼樣,我們去了寵物墊然後我們跟店員講...
"Hey! Set out all your monkeys"
把你們店裡的猴子全部放出來讓我看看
"Fresh out of monkeys, come back tomorrow."
猴子已經沒了,明天在來吧
"What about rats?"
那麼老鼠呢?
"Nope, no rats.  Um... we got a fish that think it's a rat"
抱歉(想不出有什麼比較適合的),沒有老鼠了...不過我們有魚,爾且它認為自己是一隻老鼠
"Woah~ no! im not marrying a fish."
哇!!!不要!!我才不要跟魚結婚
Just then, the phone rang.
那時候,電話響了
"Uh, hello?"
痾,你好?
"Hi Steve, I'll be your girlfriend."
嗨 Steve, 我會成為你的女朋友
"Are you a monkey or a rat?"
你是猴子還是老鼠
"No! I'm a dog!!!"
不!我是狗
"Aaaaaaaaaa~!!! Evil!!!"
阿阿阿阿阿阿阿~!魔鬼!!
"Hi Steve"
嗨 Steve
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa"
阿阿阿阿阿阿阿阿阿
"Hey doggirl, look!"
你看那裡有個狗女孩(這個太難了)
"Haha, works everytime."
哈哈, 這招每次都有用
"Stupid dog."
笨狗

之後, 她在那裡,吃著垃圾桶裡面的東西,真是噁心

噁心,是老鼠!算了,我放棄了!那麼猴子呢?

好耶!(剛剛才發現因該可以用酷...)

我絕得這篇很搞笑
不過...翻譯起來就很麻煩了
像是Hey,這句話我真不知道要怎麼翻成中文
因為我看我大部分的朋友都沒用過這句話(中文)

我對於至這篇故事最大的疑問就是,Steve本來就不是人類嗎(傻)
不然怎麼一堆動物...

每一種動物代表著每一種人類
他們所生出來的當然也是混血兒
所以才會有兔子~
當然他們以動物代替~就是要告訴我們戀愛是可以跨越種族的鴻溝

每一種動物代表著每一種人類
他們所生 ...

就是說像是白種人、黃種人、黑種人、還是紅種人那樣?

不然就是不同國家或族群的人?

把他們比喻成動物還真有意思~

"fresh out of monkeys"可以解釋成猴子賣光了

從國中學到大學的英文，也不會想到可以解釋成這樣，該不會是要靠語感吧?

如果要我翻譯猴子賣光了，我想我也只會翻成"all the monkeys are sold out"

那可能會有其他解釋嗎?這裡的fresh是當什麼詞性?感覺像動詞

fresh out 是外國的一個口頭殘~
因為新鮮的於沒了以後他們都會說 fresh out of fishes
導致他們現在將fresh out 作為賣光的意思
