How could you leave me alone?

Sitting by the phone

wondering where I went wrong

You promised you would always be there

yet you left me with tears of pain

of hurt and sorrow

In my dreams I belive that everything is okay

But when I open my eyes

I realize that it is all in vain

Is it possible for you to come back to me?

Most people do not know what love could be-
But, I'll tell you what it means to me...

Unconditional love without a doubt- "That" is what love is all about.

It is "Truth and Honesty"- that is just the way it must "Always" be.

A foundation built from "Friendship and Love"-
Knowing you were blessed from the Lord above.

Taking one another and promising "Forever"-
Letting no other destroy what has been joined together.

Loving thy husband as he shall his wife-
"knowing" they will be together in another life.

And when all those years have passed on through-
That love still remains unchanged and still "Very true".

This is what love should "Always be"
This is what True Love means to me.

The night it all happened, he thought he'd be all right
he thought he'd shake it off, just look forward to tomorrow
he thought he'd be with his friends and they'd cheer him up
he thought he'd meet some girls and remember his past
he thought he'd be ok
yeah, everything would be all right
little did he know, what he thought

he thought of the thousands of times he just sat
and stared out the window
the window, that same stupid car window
he thought his friends would make it better
and they did, but only for a while
they could only numb the pain
he thought he'd go back to his old ways with girls
and it'd be alright
and it was, for a while

he met a girl, thought she was great
a pretty face, great smile, seemed like one to fall back on
but all she did was remind him of the one he lost
that scent, the wonderful smell
many would find it wonderful...sweet, so to speak
but he only found it painful
that same smell from the day he met her
that same smile from when he knew her
it only made him think of what he once had
and just like that one lost, she just walked around and away

i don't know why he can't learn that lesson
just one lesson, that he can't get into his head
don't fall into her arms, because she's just waiting to drop you
don't give her your trust, she's just waiting to tear it up
don't give her everything she's wanted; she's waiting to abuse it
and most of all,
don't give her your heart- she's waiting to break it....
