Dusty Springfield，1939年4月16日出生於倫敦 本名為 Mary O’Brien ，50年代就開始進入歌壇， 最早是參加“The Lana Sisters”三重唱， 後來跟她的兄長湯姆共同組成了“The Springfields”三重唱， 在英國的民歌界頗有些名氣，而她也在這個時候把藝名改成Dusty Springfield。 1963年，她大膽的決定獨立，以獨唱歌手的姿態闖蕩江湖， 一曲“I Only Want to Be with You”立刻造成轟動， 讓原本羞澀的她信心大增，很快的就成了當時英國少女們所崇拜的偶像， 同時她為了掩飾害羞而刻意設計的雞窩頭、貓熊一般的深色眼影等誇張造型， 也引發了一陣跟風。 由於這首歌曲實在是太紅了，自從1963年由Dusty Springfield演唱造成轟動之後， 每隔個幾年就會有人拿來重新翻唱它。 === I Only Want to Be with You === I don’t know what it is that makes me love you so I only know I never want to let you go ’cause you’ve started something Oh, can’t you see?
